awesome mrp Review by buffgman
Quality Value Price Met-Rx has been around forever and there's a reason. I've recently become quite a fan. My wife loves it, little boy loves, and so do I. Great ingredients (which they've modified) mixes well (i always use blender) tastes great. Perfect MRP. We use choc, but go with van if u plan on doing smoothies, etc... If u can afford it, I highly recommend it. (Posted on 1/19/12)

reciepe ideas Review by leshgr
Quality Value Price PROS: it is the best tasting and best mixing drink there is really...I love the chocolate mixed with natural peanut butter with alil splenda to make it even sweeter in water, OR I will use the Berry Blast with frozen strawberries, blueberries, in 1/2 calorie cranberry juice and it tastes like a flat out SMOOTHIE!
CONS: partially hydrogenated oil. Cmon its 2008, I know you guys have made like a bazillion dollars, but take some of that money we all pitched in and make and even SUPERIOR product without the crap added, I know you can do it, stop being a cheap ass greedy company. (Posted on 1/19/12) -

Quality Value Price First off, the taste is amazing. Like a Dairy Queen milk shake. I prefer to mix Met-Rx with cold water due to the thickness issue with milk. Also, buy a blender, no joking. I purchased a small single 18oz. blender just for this stuff. Another plus, less cooking. You have your mean plus your protein and it feels like your cheating. If I had to choose between this and any other type of whey protein, I would choose this. Don’t take my work for it, try it yourself… (with a blender !!!!!) (Posted on 1/19/12)

Quality Value Price This is one of the best tasting shakes I have ever had, and is definately the best texture I have had. I enjoy the thick protein shakes and this is probably the thickest I have come by. Plus, if you want to have a protein pudding, simply refrigerate for about an hour and you are good to go. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because of the partially hydrogenated oils. (Posted on 1/19/12)

Quality Value Price Good: Works well, quells hunger, consistent product.
Bad: Very artificial tasting vanilla, terrible yellow/white color from food coloring, and partially hydrogenated oil. They would do well to clean up the coloring, sweetners, and get the crap out of it b/c it's a good product otherwise.
Still wish they made one that tasted like the original two canister mix that came out in 1990. THAT WAS GOOD!

Quality Value Price I really like this stuff. It's only $1.60/srv for a 39g protein serving.
Also, this is mainly Milk Protein Concentrate (this website says Isolate incorrectly) and caseinates, so its a slow digesting, very anabolic formula.
For the price, I take one of these every night as my before bed snack and it keeps me full for a few hours. This is probably the most cost effective slow digesting protein MRP I've found.
I have the peanut butter, which is decent. It tastes more like peanut oil flavor (if youve ever used peanut based sauce or dip you know what I mean) more than PB per se. So I'm going to try out a few other flavors.
The only thing I dont like is that it is somewhat thick. But I have noticed that high casein/caseinate shakes all have this problem. So it is not inherent in the product.
Also, due to either the type of fiber (xanthan gum, a thickening agent) or the egg protein... I'm not sure which this shake will thicken if you let it sit for a while. So it has to be drank right away.
