Meridian Naturals SAM-e (also known as S-adenosylmethionine) is not an herb but a naturally occurring chemical in the body. It is a compound produced by our bodies from methionine. Methionine is an amino acid found in protein-rich foods. Meridian Naturals SAM-e supports healthy mood and joint function.

What is SAM-e Used For?

SAM-e helps with the maintenance of cell membranes, removal of toxic substances from the body, and the production of mood-enhancing neurotransmitters. SAM-e is required for the synthesis of norepinephrine, dopamine, and serotonin. It is also helpful for nutritional support of those suffering from joint discomfort.

Other Ingredients: Cellulose, mannitol, hydroxypropyl methycellulose phthalate, citric acid, sodium starch glycolate, triacetin, modified cellulose gum, stearic acid, silica, titanium dioxide and yellow ochre.

Suggested use: As a dietary supplement, for adults, take one (1) tablet daily or as directed by a physician. DO NOT exceed 4 tablets per day.

Warning: Individuals using prescribed medications, such as antidepressants, including Serotonin Re-Uptake Inhibitors and MAO Inhibitors, should consult a physician before using. Individuals with Parkinson’s disease, bipolar disorder or manic depression should not use SAM-e. Do not use if pregnant or nursing. Do not exceed recommended dose. May cause gastrointestinal upset in some persons. If you experience discomfort, discontinue use. Discontinue use and consult your doctor if any adverse events occur.
